Politicos

I don't know what the rest of the country thinks of the elected officials that serve us up on Capitol Hill but my opinion of them is that are all very much the same after they get the highly vaulted prize of the senate or congress. They become part of a company of public servants whose sole purpose is to take what they can in the period allotted to them.
It worsens the longer they are on the hill as they gain power by the fact they become heads of commissions, committees, in charge of investigations or other means by which they may sway those around them and the manner in which they vote on bills and other pieces of legislation.
They begin to give less thought to the little people that comprise their constituency and focus on gaining power and doing better for themselves. My representative is a prime target.
When they get to this point they are steeped heavily in the workings of keeping it greased so that it appears they are doing their jobs but looking out for themselves, their fellow congressmen/senators and their party affiliations. This is when they become true Politicos. I would compare it to a mob lord of sorts. These are people after your votes initially and will say anything on television or to to your face to further their careers. They are more than professional liars as they can speak hollowly for years and never mean one part of it. Some of us buy it and they keep their offices - Politicos.
We have two parties that represent our interests in government, local and federal. We have the democrats and the republicans, both operate in a different mode to "rule" us but in the end there is not much difference.
We have a presidential, as well as congressional, election in 2008 that is rife with Politicos. It appears to be a democratic race only at this point as the nation appears to be more than willing to rid itself of the present administration; which happens to be republican.
Are we tired of the fake war that Bush suckered our congress and senate into, the 2000 + soldiers that have died because of it, the $500,000,000,000.00 Bush has given to war profiteers, the less than able staff he has surrounded himself with or a combination of all?
I like to remember Homeland Security - a fabricated branch of the executive that money is thrown at, the Patriot act, Katrina, Cheney shooting his friend in the face with a shotgun, the numerous Court judges appointed as well as those fired and the general attitude Bush and his entire administration has shown to the senate and congress as well as WE, THE PEOPLE.
I really love it when people like Ann Coulter looks down her skinny nose and defames those of us here in this nation that carry the weight on our shoulders while she is on television hawking the latest hate book she just wrote

I wrote all of that to say I hate Ann Coulter. I have never met the woman but she turns my stomach. I might like her if I knew her personally but if she opened her mouth I would have to clobber her with a hamfist sandwich.
Frankly, she is a heartless bitch I know what books she has written but I cannot find myself picking up one to read as they are a string of paragraphs of hate tenfold that which I may have written here.
